Learn to drive automatic in Cardiff in as little as 1–9 days, with DVSA-approved instructors who know your local test routes.
Cardiff is the capital city of Wales and one of the most dynamic places to learn to drive. With no clutch or gears to manage, an automatic crash course lets you focus entirely on traffic, observation and confidence – and our intensive automatic driving courses in Cardiff give you the most comprehensive real-world experience possible.
Our fast track driving courses in Cardiff are perfect for learners who want to earn their licence in days or a single week rather than months. From the fast-moving A48 and A470 to busy city centre streets, quieter suburbs and parkland roads, you'll cover every scenario the examiner might set – everything you need to learn to drive in one week.
We cover all areas of Cardiff including Roath, Canton, Pontprennau, Whitchurch, and beyond, with pick-up and drop-off options available. Every learner is assessed at the start of their course and given a personalised lesson plan targeting their individual weak points so they can pass their driving test fast.
Automatic crash courses are ideal for nervous drivers, those who've struggled with manual gears, or anyone who wants the simplest, quickest route to a fast pass. A mock test is included before your actual exam, and short notice driving courses are available for those who need to book at the last minute.
Start your journey to driving freedom – book an intensive automatic driving course in Cardiff now and pass your driving test fast.
Every manual intensive driving course with Intensive Driving Courses Wales includes: 1-to-1 tuition with a fully qualified, experienced local driving instructor.
Q: Is the practical test included in the course price? A:No. Since the 12th May 2026 Driving Schools are no longer allowed to book or change driving tests for pupils. The Driving Test has to be booked by the pupil. Full details are shown on our Prices & Guide page. Q: How quickly can I start a manual intensive course? A: Start dates depend on instructor availability, your location and whether you already have a theory and practical test booked. We will always give you a realistic timescale when you enquire, rather than over-promising. Q: What happens if I am not test-ready by the end of my course? A: Your instructor will give you honest feedback throughout. If more hours are needed, we will explain your options clearly so you can decide whether to move a test date or arrange additional lessons. Q: How do payments and deposits work? A: We normally take a deposit to secure your course and any remaining balance is due before tuition starts. Please read the payment and cancellation information on our Terms & Conditions page before booking.
